The product
MADETOOL - MATLAB Aerospace Design Engineering Tool - performs conceptual and preliminary design of fixed-wing UAVs in DoD Groups 1-3, including VTOL aircraft that transition to wing-borne flight. Pure multirotors are out of scope.
Its rules are simple to state: SI inside, units at the boundary; airspeeds need TAS/EAS/CAS/IAS and altitudes need AGL/MSL; TBD is never zero; every method is registered with its source and verification level; results are estimates, not validation.
This website runs solver build 1.0.0 with GNU Octave 8.4.
