Design with the full MADETOOL workflow at no cost once an ALATES reviewer approves your student status. Review may take up to 24 hours.
Eligibility
- You are enrolled at a university, college or school.
- You can receive e-mail at an address issued by your institution.
- You use the Student plan for your own learning or academic work.
What we ask for
- Your institution, country, programme, level and expected graduation date.
- Your school e-mail address - we send a confirmation link to it.
- Only if your school’s e-mail domain is not on our recognised list: a document showing current enrolment (PDF, PNG or JPEG, up to 5 MB). Hide any information that is not needed.
How verification works

Confirm your school e-mail
Open the link we send to your school address.
Review
An ALATES reviewer checks the application - this may take up to 24 hours.
Decision
Approved, rejected, or more information required - with a note from the reviewer.
Application statuses
- Not submitted
- No application yet.
- Pending review
- Waiting for your e-mail confirmation or for a reviewer.
- Approved
- The Student plan is active until the date shown.
- More information required
- Answer the reviewer’s note and resubmit.
- Rejected
- The reason is shown; you can apply again later.
Your data
- Approval is stored and checked on our server only; the browser cannot grant it.
- Proof documents are stored privately and shown only to ALATES reviewers.
- Proof documents are deleted 30 days after the decision.
- Personal details of rejected applications are removed after 365 days.
- Approval lasts 12 months; then you re-verify.
