22 item(s) on this page are marked [PLACEHOLDER] and still need to be confirmed by the operator.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
- This website and the tools on it are provided by [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: company legal name], [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: registered address], [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: country of registration] (registration: [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: trade registry / MERSIS number]; tax: [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: tax office and tax number]), trading as ALATES ("we", "us").
- These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the website, MADETOOL and MASETOOL (together, the "Service").
- These documents also apply: the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Disclaimer and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- You accept these Terms when you create an account (you tick the box at sign-up). You accept them again, together with the Refund & Cancellation Policy, when you start a paid plan (you tick the box before checkout).
- If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Who may use the Service
- The Service is for professional, business, research and study use.
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- If you accept these Terms for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it. "You" then also means that organisation.
- You must not use the Service where sanctions or export laws forbid it (see section 11).
3. The Service
- MADETOOL is a preliminary design tool for fixed-wing unmanned aircraft, including lift+cruise VTOL aircraft. You enter your requirements in a guided form. We turn them into a requirements file (PRD) and run MADETOOL with GNU Octave on our servers. One analysis is a run. A run produces a report and data files.
- MASETOOL trains object-detection models for computer-vision tasks. You describe the task in a guided form and may upload your own labelled images. We build a dataset from our image library and your uploads, train a model and deliver a model package: model files (for example `best.pt` and `best.onnx`), a report, metrics and checksums. One training request submitted with "Train my model" is a job.
- Runs and jobs wait in a queue and start in turn, within the limits of your plan. Start times, finish times, durations and training-time figures are estimates, not commitments.
- MASETOOL trains classes from its catalogue. A class outside the catalogue is checked by our team first. We may approve or refuse it and we tell you the reason for a refusal. No job is created, and nothing is counted, until it is approved.
- We may change, add or remove features. We will give notice before a change that reduces what a paid plan includes.
4. Your account and access tokens
- Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at once at [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: customer-service e-mail] if you think someone else is using your account.
- For MASETOOL, our website holds an access token for your account on the training server. It is stored encrypted and is never shown in your browser. Do not try to obtain or use it outside the website.
- We may suspend or close an account to protect the Service, for a breach of these Terms, for non-payment or when the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
5. Plans, prices and billing
- Separate products. MADETOOL and MASETOOL each have their own plans and their own subscription. A plan for one tool does not include the other.
- MADETOOL plans. Student: Free after your student status is approved (for verified students; the approval is valid for a fixed period and can be renewed). Professional: USD $27.99 per month. Enterprise: Custom quote contact sales. Each plan has usage limits (runs at the same time, queued runs, monthly solver time and number of projects) that are shown in your account. [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: publish the MADETOOL limit numbers once they are final]
- MASETOOL plans.
| Professional | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | USD $40 per month | Custom quote contact sales |
| Training jobs per quota period | 20 | unlimited |
| Jobs running at the same time | 2 | 4 |
| Jobs queued or running at the same time | 5 | 10 |
| Longest training time per job | 12 hours | 24 hours |
| Storage for packages and uploads | 100 GB | 500 GB |
| Model formats | PyTorch (.pt), ONNX, TensorRT engine where supported for the target device | PyTorch (.pt), ONNX, TensorRT engine where supported for the target device |
- Prices are in USD, as shown on the plan pages and before checkout. [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: whether prices include VAT/KDV or taxes are added at checkout]
- Recurring billing. A paid plan renews automatically every month on the day it started, and you are charged at each renewal until you cancel.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's page and Stripe processes them; we never see or store card numbers. A plan starts only after Stripe confirms the payment to us.
- Enterprise. Enterprise plans are agreed in writing. Where that agreement differs from these Terms, the agreement applies.
- Changing plan. To move to another plan, contact us or use the subscription management link on the Billing page where it is offered. A new MASETOOL plan applies its limits from the moment it starts.
- Price changes. We will tell you at least [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: notice period, e.g. 30 days] before a new price applies to your subscription. You can cancel before it takes effect.
6. MASETOOL training quota
- Each MASETOOL plan includes a number of training jobs per quota period (see section 5.3).
- A quota period is one month long and runs from the date your MASETOOL licence started (for example the 12th to the 12th), not by calendar month. Unused jobs do not carry over.
- A job counts when you submit it.
- A job is given back to your quota when: - you cancel it before training starts (while it is queued or being prepared), or - it fails because of a fault on our side. This happens once per job.
- A job still counts when: - you cancel it after training has started, - it stops because it reached its time limit, or - it could not start because your licence had ended.
- Retries never count again. A job that failed through a fault on our side can be retried at no extra job. A job stopped by its time limit can be retried with a longer time limit within your plan; it still counts once.
- When the quota of a period is used up, new jobs are refused until the next period starts. The training page shows when the quota resets.
7. Cancellation, end of a plan and refunds
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time on the Billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- MADETOOL after a plan ends: you can still sign in and see your projects and results. New runs need an active plan. Runs that have not started when the plan ends are not started.
- MASETOOL after a plan ends: no new jobs can be submitted. Jobs that are still queued when the licence ends are not started and still count. Finished model packages stay available for download until their storage period ends (180 days after the job finished, see the Privacy Policy).
- Refunds: Payments already made are not refunded. When you cancel, no further payment is taken and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer law. Details are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Your content and data
- "Your content" means your requirements, PRDs, data files, uploaded images and labels, and what the Service makes from them for you: design results, trained models, reports and metrics.
- You keep ownership of your content. Between you and us, the design results and the trained model files delivered to you belong to you, except for our materials included in them (section 9).
- You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process and transform your content only as needed to provide the Service to you: to run your designs, build your dataset, train, evaluate and package your model, give support, keep the Service secure and meet legal duties. This licence lasts as long as these purposes and the storage periods in the Privacy Policy.
- Uploads stay yours. Your uploaded images and labels are used only for your own jobs. They are never added to our shared image library and never used for another customer's dataset or model.
- Rights you confirm. When you upload data you confirm that you hold all the rights and permissions needed for us to process it for training, including the rights of people who may appear in the images. The upload form asks you to confirm this and we refuse uploads without it.
- We check uploads technically (file types, labels and class names). Uploaded files are never executed. We may refuse data or classes that break these Terms.
- You can delete finished MASETOOL runs and their files on the training pages. Deletion is permanent.
9. Our intellectual property
- The website, MADETOOL, MASETOOL, our image library and the datasets built from it, model architectures and training settings we provide, report templates and the integration code in model packages belong to us or our licensors.
- While you comply with these Terms, you may use the Service. You may use the integration code, report and templates delivered in your packages, without time limit, for your own projects and products, including deploying your trained model in your own products.
- You must not: - resell or sublicense trained models, our library or datasets built from it as a dataset, model or training service of its own, or use them to offer a competing service, - extract images from our library, - copy or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
- The Service and model packages use open-source components (for example GNU Octave, Ultralytics YOLO, PyTorch and ONNX). They are licensed under their own terms, which also apply to your use of them. [PLACEHOLDER — lawyer to confirm: licence obligations for delivered models and code, in particular Ultralytics YOLO (AGPL-3.0 unless an enterprise licence applies)]
10. Acceptable use
- MASETOOL is for civil applications only, for example: maritime and fish surveys, wildlife and livestock, infrastructure and power-line inspection, agriculture, environmental monitoring, search-and-rescue support, and airspace safety (detecting drones to protect airports and events).
- You must not use the Service: - to identify or track people for surveillance, - to read licence plates, - for military targeting, - for anything unlawful, or to process personal data without a legal basis, - to upload malware, attack or overload the Service, or get around its limits or security, - to share your account with people outside your organisation.
- Class names for people, faces, licence plates, military objects and specific drone types are refused by our filter and cannot be trained. Classes outside the catalogue are reviewed and may be refused.
- We may refuse or stop a job, refuse an upload, or suspend an account that breaks this section.
11. Export control and sanctions
[PLACEHOLDER — lawyer to confirm wording] Aerospace design data and object-detection models can be subject to export-control, sanctions and dual-use rules. You are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to you, your users and your destination countries.
12. Results, warranties and liability
- Please read the Disclaimer. Design results are preliminary estimates. Model metrics describe the recorded test set of each job only. Neither is certified, guaranteed or fit for safety-critical use without your own verification.
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". This version has no service-level agreement. We aim to keep it available, but maintenance and faults can interrupt it and queued work can be delayed.
- As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost revenue or loss of data you could have kept elsewhere.
- As far as the law allows, our total liability for all claims in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in those 12 months. [PLACEHOLDER — lawyer to confirm the liability cap]
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit (for example for intent, gross negligence, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).
- You will compensate us for third-party claims that arise from your content (including missing rights to uploaded data), from your breach of sections 10 or 11, or from how you use or deploy results and models.
13. Ending the contract
- You can close your account by writing to [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: customer-service e-mail].
- We may end the contract for a serious breach, for non-payment, or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering a paid tool, we give you [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: notice period] notice.
- After the contract ends, sections 8 to 15 continue to apply where relevant. Your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
- We may update these Terms. Each version shows its number and date.
- For important changes we tell you by e-mail or in your account at least [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: notice period] before they apply. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel.
15. Law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
- Disputes go to [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: competent courts and enforcement offices, e.g. Istanbul].
- If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
16. Contact
[PLACEHOLDER — confirm: company legal name], [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: registered address], [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: country of registration]. E-mail: [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: customer-service e-mail]. Phone: [PLACEHOLDER — confirm: customer-service phone, optional].
