Guide

Getting started

Your first design run, from account to results.

1. Create an account and verify your e-mail

Sign up with e-mail and password or a configured sign-in provider. Projects and drafts are available as soon as your e-mail address is verified.

2. Get a plan that allows runs

Running the solver needs an active plan: an approved Student application, a Professional subscription or an Enterprise agreement. You can draft and validate requirements before that.

3. Create a project

Name the project and pick the aircraft type from the picture cards (for example battery-electric lift+cruise eVTOL or piston engine, runway). The guided builder then asks for each requirement with its unit; you can also describe the aircraft in plain words to pre-fill it.

4. Review the draft PRD

Values found in your text are marked with their source phrase and need your confirmation. Requirements you did not state stay TBD. Engineering defaults taken from MADETOOL’s example for that configuration are marked src = PLACEHOLDER: replace them with your data where you have it.

5. Validate and click Design

Fix every error shown by validation. When nothing blocks the run, the Design button queues the analysis. You can leave the page; the run page updates while it runs.

6. Read the results

See Reading the outputs. Start with the solver status and the stage table, then the compliance summary, then the report.
